(JHR) What will go down as one of the most vile episodes in San Diego governmental history, the San Diego City Council, on a 7-0 vote, approved a motion by lesbian city councilwoman Toni Atkins, to declare December 5, 2005 as Mark Salo Day. The horrific significance of this vote cannot be underscored. For 31 years, Mark Salo has served as the CEO of the San Diego-Riverside Counties Planned Parenthood organization (http://www.planned.org/site/PageServer). Needless to say, thousands and thousands of little babies have had their lives ended prematurely under the watch of diabolic Mark Salo.
The 7-0 yes vote by the City Council, declaring Mark Salo Day, forced the entire city of San Diego to approve of the murderous abortion factories of Planned Parenthood. What made that vote even more insidious is the spineless yes votes casts by alledged Christian Conservative Republicans on the council, Brian Maienschein and Jim Madaffer, to honor Mark Salo.

Many Christians in San Diego are expressing outrage at Maienschein for this vote. It was Maienschein that was invited to Mission Valley Christian Fellowship last year to receive an award for attending the Religous Freedom Rally at the Mt. Soledad Cross, an event sponsored by that same church. Upon receiving the award, Maienschein, with his wife and little daughter in attendance, professed to be a Christian before the 1,500 member congregation. Maienschein's utter hypocrisy in voting to affirm the butchery of Planned Parenthood will not sit well with voters when Maienschein seeks to court those same Christian voters for his run at higher office.
Madaffer's yes vote to honor the abortion provider's CEO represents an ongoing skid for the councilman from his morally conservative roots. Once the champion of the Boy Scouts remaining on city property, it was Madaffer that led the charge to approve lesbian Toni Atkins to become acting mayor. It was Atkins that helped approve the city council vote to evict those same Boy Scouts from city property.
Councilwoman Atkins has an extensive history of managing up to three abortion clinics prior to her work with the city of San Diego. Her support for invasive abortion procedures and the killing of unborn children has never waivered. Councilman Scott
Peters, who has claimed to be the son of a minister, as well as professing he is a Christian during hearings on the Mt. Soledad Cross, defied everything Christianity proclaims, by his speech in support of Planned Parenthood's abortion mills while honoring Mark Salo.
Councilman Tony Young, who continuously campaigns within African American churches in his district, has revealed the graphic extent of his hypocrisy by voting with the abortion crowd in honoring Planned Parenthood CEO Mark Salo during this dark Dec. 5th council hearing.
Mayor Jerry Sanders has made a career out of promoting the interests of abortion rights. A professing Republican, Sanders has made it clear that he will continue his long standing advocacy for the radical abortion lobby, by voting in the affirmative to honor Mark Salo.
To the hundreds of thousands of Christian voters in San Diego: Never forget this vote! Never, ever forget, that when each man and woman on this council had the opportunity to show courage on behalf of the lives of unborn children, they stood with the dark and murderous abortion industry provider: Planned Parenthood.

Let the San Diego City Council know that you do not appreciate their advocacy for the radical abortion industry. Let the council know that they did not represent your interests when they honored, on your behalf, the horrific career of abortion advocate Mark Salo.
